Entertaining enthusiasts, we’ve got a treat for you! We’re dishing out the recipe for our exclusive Gift Wrapped Shrimp that not only taste delicious and displays beautifully, but take less than 30-minutes to prepare. But wait – that’s not all! You can whip up this dish with items you probably already have on hand. So, have you got 30-minutes to spare? Let’s try it out!

What You Need

  • 24 medium fresh shrimp, raw, peeled, deveined
  • 1 tbsp canola oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 12 oz jar roasted red peppers
  • 12 – 24 green onions, depending on size

 Directions

  1. Roll each shrimp into a tight round shape, with tail on outside. Put a toothpick through the diameter, so shrimp holds a round shape.
  2. Heat a sauté pan to medium high heat. Add oil to pan.
  3. Coat shrimp with cayenne pepper then sauté until opaque, approximately 1 – 2 minutes per side.
  4. Remove from pan and cool to warm.
  5. Cut green portion of the green onions off, keep the green portion intact and as long a length as possible.
  6. Heat green onion strips in sauté pan until just softened and bendable, about 1 minute, turning frequently. Remove from pan and let cool to warm.
  7. Cut roasted peppers into strips and wrap strips around shrimp. Wrap green onion around pepper and tie in a bow or a knot.
  8. Best served warm.

How To Serve

  • Place shrimp on a tiered server and add garnish. Our favorite is the 2- tier rectangular server from our Maui Collection.
