Must Every Party Be Fabulous?

With every gathering comes preparation. Last weekend we were at home and wanted to celebrate birthdays for the most adorable girls.  Since this was a fast and impromptu party, I went to my party cabinet and took out my most colorful tablecloth and plates, snipped some roses to make a simple centerpiece and added some bright yellow orchids to the room. We have loved this salad since we first made it in our test kitchen.  It is spicy and light. The crunch of the peanuts just tops it off.  Enjoy it any time of the year but it is especially delightful on a day like today!
